Step into the captivating world of ceramics with our ADULT CLAY + COFFEE class, nestled in the vibrant heart of downtown Issaquah! This 4-week Epic Wednesday 2-hr class is a haven for pottery enthusiasts, guiding you through the creation of beautiful pots without the need for a pottery wheel. We’ll explore a variety of techniques such as coiling, pinching, and slab building, empowering you to shape your own unique ceramic masterpieces. The class is primarily focused on crafting functional ware, supporting your personalized projects, be it a set of tea cups, a petite vase, bowls, coasters, candle luminary, or more. Whether you’re a seasoned potter, a beginner eager to delve into the world of ceramics, or someone who has recently attended a class, this class is for you! So why not bring along your favorite drink, friends, a family member too, and join us for a session filled with rolling, pinching, chatting, and sipping, together! DETAILS 2-hrs, 4-week session, $160 Session #2: Jan 24 (Jan 24, 31, Feb 7, 14) as mid-winter break is 2/19 Issaquah Community Center CLASS INCLUDES • Registration session includes: Clay for 2-3x functional mugs/vessels, supplies, glazes, kiln firings & instruction • Hand-building is an ancient pottery-making technique that involves creating forms without a pottery wheel, using your hands, fingers, & tools. • Benefits of working with Clay: Working with clay can be a therapeutic and fulfilling experience, offering numerous benefits of physical and emotional well-being. • Class times: 10am-12pm Wednesdays • Ages: 18+ / available for students ages 15-17 with enrolled adult also in attendance • Extra Firing Fees: If additional items need to be fired other than the items on class docket, additional fee may be added, ~15$ea. • Refund: If there is a cancellation request, there will be a $45 processing fee for all refunds and cancellations. *REGISTER... Clay work will be fired and returned to Community Center front desk for pick up 2-3-weeks after class. Please note, sometimes clay items will break or fall off during firing. Epic Art will not be held responsible for such breakage in the kiln.
