Epic Treehouse Design (PM) This is by far one of my most beloved and most popular sculptural projects that we create every summer! During this 5-day camp, Epic Artists immerse themselves in constructing a multi-level tree filled with natural and faux plants, creatures, and small living spaces! We will spend the first couple of days progressively building UP our armature with sturdy layers of recyclables, topped off with layers of paper mache using paper bags, design a treetop, and add layers of base design paint. Once that hard work is put in, we will spend days, dabbling and exploring mark making tools, adding Epic amounts of natural bark, wood, twigs, moss, rocks, various clays to create small details, and faux plants, textiles, wire, and so much more. Young makers will have endless imaginative opportunities to add secret caves, life-like waterfalls, motes, riverbeds, moving parts like ladders or tire swings, slides, tents, hammocks, campfires, bugs, butterflies, signs, picnic areas, and of course, a set of fairy lights! During our CREATIVE PROCESS, students explore their own innovation and creative potential while developing skills in the three-dimensional realm. Treehouse Design is an ACTION-PACKED project with plenty of creative work to be put in as it is constant motion and making! I LOVE this project and I cannot wait to see another forest of lively trees this summer. EPIC CELEBRATIONS • Friday @ 3:45pm • Join us as we celebrate our artists with a walkabout exhibition!
