Wild Woodlands: Fairy House Design + Gnome Garden +Mini Clay Things (AM) I can’t wait to share this dreamy week of constructing and making with our youngest makers! We will DESIGN, BUILD, and art-fully DECORATE the coolest imaginary magical house (~8-10" tall) on the planet. Each artist will be supplied with my pre-hand-built cardboard constructed house set on a natural wood base, as we spend our week exploring ideas, artfully problem solving, and bringing imaginations to life! We will playfully engage in various materials, such as, paint, paper mache or celluclay, rocks, wood, faux plants, textiles, various color & mark-making tools, and LOTS more! We will also work up mini-CLAY things (mushrooms, creatures, oh my) and add a twinkle light or two (yep, it glows). This project brings play and excitement home long after class is over AND I cannot wait to see what the makers will make this week! EPIC CELEBRATION • Friday @11:30am • Join us as we celebrate our artists with a gallery show in the studio! PLEASE BRING WITH YOU TO CAMP • Wear a mask everyday & bring another mask • Snacks (nut-free/see Epic Policies for details) & labeled water bottle • Clothes & shoes for getting art-FULLY messy & possible stained. • Pre-applied sunscreen and/or cap as you see fit for outside brain breaks. NOTES NOTES NOTES 1. Clay projects will go home with students on last day of class. If not, due to kiln schedules, I will drop off at your house, or you will be contacted to stop by and pick up your pieces. 2. Ceramics is a multi-step process. There are many variables along the way that may result in breakage, color inconsistencies, etc. Unfortunately, surprises are out of my hands and also part of the many challenges and Epic adventures of working with clay. 3. Glue guns are a necessary tool for building projects. Please note, I will facilitate, and any interns, all gluing unless student asks and passes a glue gun test competently. 4. Epic Art believes in the wonderful & unique benefits of multiage classrooms.
