(FEB) Mixed Media Wednesday (3-weeks)

Service Description

Welcome to Mixed Media Wednesdays, a 2-hour creative adventure that provides a weekly in-depth opportunity to explore various art techniques, materials and tools! During this 4- week class, we focus on one (1) main multilayered project that includes, learning and reinforcing basic elements of art as well as historical and/or current art influencers. FEBRUARY Is a 3-week class due to school holiday Feb 15-19. In February, students will be introduced Japanese artist, Isamu Noguchi and his famous sculpture, Even the Centipede. We will also take a good look at the artist duo Chiaozza out of Brooklyn NY. Students will incorporate shapes, color and each artists' style into their own artwork. We will use polymer clay along with other materials to create a very cool modern totem pole sculpture. I am also hoping hope we can squeeze in a sweet little gift (for parents so I can't reveal ;)) to celebrate Valentine's Day! DETAILS Please snack your mini me BEFORE class, masks UP and NO FOOD. If you need to send water, the break will be outside the studio-making area (with my watchful eye), thank you! This multiage class is also a great social experience and opportunity to share ideas, brainstorm as a class, and make bigger decisions about their personal artwork.
