Play with Clay Workshop (date/time TBA)

Service Description

Whether you are 5-years old or 100, join me for this super fun, 4-hour DIY hand-building workshop! Epic Art will provide a few pounds of clay, tools, templates, inspiration, and examples to assist in hand-constructing a bowl, mug or vase. Each workshop begins with a demonstration, and then, you'll DIY to your hearts content. I will answer any questions and support your creativity throughout the workshop. Want to do something fun with your kids or grandma/grandpa or your BFF? This is a perfect TOGETHER activity! Children between *5-7 yrs. are absolutely welcome, but do require parent supervision & participation due to the set-up of this workshop. • Day #1 (2-hrs): Focus is on construction of pinch pot, making coils, surface design, forming shapes, and attaching/joining parts. • Day #2 (1-hr): Focus is on basic glazing technique(s). DETAILS • Glazed and fired pieces will be ready to pick up in 2 to 3 weeks after day #2. • Any additional pieces will be a $10 per piece glaze/firing fee. • Children between *5-7 years are welcome, and require parent supervision/participation. • Ceramics is a multi-step process. There are many variables along the way that may result in breakage, color inconsistencies, etc. Unfortunately, surprises are out of my hands and also part of the many challenges and Epic adventures of working with clay.
