EPIC ART SUMMER CAMP at The Club at Snoqualmie Ridge! *registration is through the club's online portal not Epic Art* When: Tuesday, June 27 - Friday, June 30 Who: Mornings are for kids 4-6 years AND afternoons for kids 7-yrs and up Food: Bring a snack(s), water bottle if you like, snack & waters will be provided as well What to wear: Things that can get very messy and possibly stained Epic Mornings: We will learn how to create shapes by constructing UP one of my favorite sculptures, BIG FACE! Big Face is an exciting hands-on 3D study of our human HEAD constructed on a wooden pedestal made with paper, aluminum foil, glue, clay, and color. I luv it!! We will also create a beautiful multi-layered, 2-dimensional CELESTIAL PAINTING on canvas! We will explore different paints, and tools, and top it with a little G-L-O-W and space sparkle to light up their MOUNTAINOUS stargazing SILHOUETTE FIGURES at NIGHT. Epic Afternoons: We will deep dive into a 3-dimensional Forest & Wildlife Diorama exploring landscape design and how to construct it with layers of foam, cardboard, recyclables, plaster, and found objects, to BUILD UP our ground floor, hilly terrain, cliffs, mountains, boulders, and yes, a watering hole (so cool). Each day we will PROGRESSIVELY add LAYERS to our forests. Much excitement will rise as we begin to add wildlife and foliage details, such as sculpting trees, and bushes, applying various ground covers, flowering plants, roads, paths, animals (some provided), and/or making a tent, yurt, or even a hammock using natural and faux materials. Can’t wait! This is the perfect camp combo of creative freedom and habitat study for kids like mine and yours.
